Pain Relief/Deep Tissue Massage

For this massage I use a combination of techniques to reduce pain attributed to acute and chronic conditions such as back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, headaches, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, range of motion restrictions, and body stiffness to name a few.  And the treatments are not painful.  You do not need a painful massage to heal your pain.  That always seemed sort of silly, didn't it?

Some of the techniques I utilize include Myofascial Massage.  This differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.  Various stretching techniques can be helpful as well. 

Deep Tissue Massage  is another a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

My hot stone guasha tool (pictured here) is a huge favorite with my clients. It may be utilized to deeply warm the tissues, increase circulation, break up adhesions, and add to your pain relief. 

Gliding silicone cups (no marks left on skin) may be used to release fascial restriction, break up adhesions, and give much needed "space" to tight areas.  (Note: only if these are something you would like to try.)

Essential oils may be included if you like them.  The ones that I use are of the highest therapeutic grade from the highly respected Eden Botanicals, always organic or wild if possible. 

I now offer a powerful new tool, Celluma LED infrared light panel.  During your massage this lightweight panel will be placed directly on any areas of your body that are stiff, sore, or in pain while I am massaging elsewhere.  (See photo below.)  You will be wowed by the results.  Try it once, and you'll never want a massage without it.  Free for first time massage clients and clients that see me at least once every 5 weeks.

Note that some conditions may require more than one session to treat your pain fully. 

CBD Oil and Butter During Massage

CBD oil and butter can be used during any massage for the ultimate in pain relief and relaxation.  The professional Seattle made CHABA products that I use are therapeutic grade, 100% natural, and have zero intoxicating effects.  Feel free to contact me for more information.

Medical Massage, Injury Treatment with Insurance

Now accepting clients with massage coverage from Kaiser HMO, Kaiser PPO, Aetna, Triwest, L&I, and auto accident PIP claims

Sessions are typically 4 units of 15 minutes each for a total of 60 minutes. 

If you would like to have a longer massage or to include add-ons you may do so and pay for that separately.

You will need to have a referral for the massage from your doctor or chiropractor with diagnostic codes.  That referral will need to be emailed to maddibongiorno@gmail.com

Beauty Focus Massage

This unique synergistic massage is the result of bringing together experiences that clients have loved and been wowed by over the years along with the brand new Celluma Contour medical device.  This is the first LED medical device cleared by the FDA for fat reduction.

The focus of this treatment is the reduction and prevention of cellulite and beautiful hydrated skin.  Techniques used include dry brushing, heated stone guasha, Contour LED light panel, myofascial release massage, gliding cupping, and a house made essential oil salt scrub for the thighs.  The goals are to increase lymphatic drainage, to break up the restrictive bands of connective tissue that bind fat and turn it into cellulite, release fat from skin cells, and to get the skin soft and glowing.  Focus is on areas of cellulite, but the whole body is incorporated in the massage.  Recommended treatment: once to three times a week for 3 weeks or more then once every 2-4 weeks for maintenance.

Hot stones feel wonderful, but did you know that they greatly relieve tension in the muscle tissue? The use of jade stones will be woven throughout your massage with this popular add-on.

Add a Facial Light Treatment to a massage

A favorite add-on: While the front side of your body gets massaged you will receive a facial light treatment with the powerful Celluma Pro panel.   Your choice of our fine lines or acne treatment settings will be used after cleansing your skin.  Following the light treatment you will receive a facial serum and moisturizer application that suits your skin care type and goals.  

Add a salt scrub for the back

You are free to add some fun upgrades to your massage session.  Even at the last minute.  

Detoxifying, exfoliating, and feels so wonderful.  You get to choose from aromatherapy salt scrubs made in house with therapeutic grade essential oils, therapeutic salts and organic jojoba oil.  Followed by removal with luxurious hot towels.  The most requested and loved add on.

Add an essential oil infused salt scrub to your lower legs and feet.  Removed with luxurious hot towels.  So relaxing.
